We're excited to learn that long-time Ada Initiative advisor Alex "Skud" Bayley will be giving a keynote at GUADEC 2012, the conference for the open source GNOME desktop and ecosystem. The topic of the keynote is "What's Next? From Open Source to Open Everything," which is "based in her experience of being involved in uncountable "open" projects ranging from copyright reform to community schools." Skud also keynoted OSCON 2009, speaking about the experience of women as small minorities in open source software projects.
Alex Bayley is well known as a dynamic and knowledgable speaker, and GUADEC 2012 is lucky to have her.
