Our first AdaCamp was held last weekend in Melbourne. The most popular critique from attendees was that the conference needed to be two days long instead of one, so we are counting it a success!
Many of the sessions produced or updated Geek Feminism Wiki pages:
AdaCamp attendees will continue to report out over the next couple of weeks. Here are a few posts so far:
- Danielle Madeley on impostor syndrome, Gnome Outreach Programme for Women, and gluten-free/vegan snacks
- Naomi Civins on girls creating social media, community management, and what radio can teach us about IT
- Aimee Whitcroft includes a report-out from AdaCamp over on SciBlogs
Thanks to everyone who attended and helped organize! Special thanks again to our AdaCamp Melbourne sponsors: Google, Wikimedia Australia, Linux Australia, and Atlassian.
Our next AdaCamp is tentatively planned to be held just prior to Wikimania 2012 in Washington, D.C. Want to see an AdaCamp near you? Support us by donating to our fundraising campaign. Donate before January 20th, 2012 (PST) and Ceph will match your donation, up to $3000!
