Experienced women in technology advocate Caroline Simard has joined the advisory board of the Ada Initiative. Caroline was the Vice President of Research and Executive Programs at the Anita Borg Institute, where she led the creation and dissemination of solutions to further diversity in scientific and technical careers in industry and academia. Our own workshop for allies of women in open tech/culture was inspired by a similar workshop she designed and taught at Grace Hopper Celebration, and she is one of the authors of ABI’s recent report, “Solutions to Recruit Women.” She is now the Associate Director of Diversity and Leadership at the Stanford School of Medicine. See Caroline’s full biography on our advisors page.
We’re grateful to have Caroline’s experience, creativity, and knowledge on our advisors board. Thanks, Caroline!
