Ada Initiative executive director wins O'Reilly Open Source Award

Today Ada Initiative director Valerie Aurora was named as one of 6 winners of the 2013 O’Reilly Open Source Awards! Winners are chosen by the previous award recipients, based on a public nomination process. The awards “recognize individual contributors who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, creativity, and collaboration in the development of open source software.

Karen Sandler, GNOME Foundation Executive Director and crusader for free and open source medical devices, says “I’m so glad to see Val win this award. It is well deserved and celebrates the positive impact that her work at TAI has had in free and open source software community.”
